About Me: I was born in 1969 and suffer from Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a genetic eye disease that leads to blindness. This condition causes what is known as tunnel vision, as the field of vision becomes increasingly restricted. While the monocular field of vision for people with normal eyesight is 120 degrees, mine is currently at 5 degrees, with my right eye having 0 degrees. Navigating my surroundings is challenging, which is why I use a long white cane. Reading is actually possible for a relatively long time with RP.

Due to my condition (I relocated from Jandelsbrunn to Passau, near the main train station, for better transportation access), I became involved with the Bavarian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where I received significant support. There, I completed training to become a Blickpunkt Auge advisor, and now I provide guidance to blind and visually impaired individuals. It brings me joy when a client, perhaps with my help, starts to improve and regains a sense of hope and vitality.

My other interests include sports (hiking, strength training, and yoga), religion, reading (audio libraries, Audible), and music. In the past, I was deeply interested in politics, but now I follow it only peripherally, as more of an observer.

This is my online presence, where I share everything that matters to me. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at any time.
